Sean Ward
Senior Advisor and Gating Committee
Sean Ward is a Senior Advisor to GCI and member of the GCI Gating Committee. Sean is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience investing in and partnering with private markets firms.
Previously, he served as a Senior Managing Director and founding member of the GP Strategic Capital Investment Team at Blue Owl Capital, as well as a member of several investment committees focused on GP-led secondary and strategic equity investments. Earlier in his career, Sean was a founding partner at Dyal Capital Partners and held senior roles at Neuberger Berman. He began his career in investment banking and law, advising on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and investment management transactions.
Education
Sean earned his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, magna cum laude.
