Donald C. Graham

Senior Advisor and Gating Committee

Don Graham is a Senior Firm Advisor and the founder of the industrial and investment businesses commonly known as “The Graham Companies” or the “Graham Group.” Today, the Graham Group brand name has been broadened to refer to an alliance of independently owned and operated investment management businesses, each of which traces its roots to a design engineering firm founded in central Pennsylvania by Don in 1960 in the basement of his York County farmhouse. The Graham Group’s three legacy industrial businesses, Graham Packaging, Graham Engineering, and Graham Architectural, operate globally and collectively generate several billion dollars in annual revenue. Today, the Graham Group’s independent investment businesses manage third-party institutional capital and internal Graham family capital.

Don works closely with the Investment Team and management teams of portfolio companies, particularly when significant strategic changes or product development programs are involved. He serves on Graham Partners’ Buyout and Growth Gating Committees and Firm Advisory Board.

Education

Don earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Business from the University of Michigan. He has also been awarded honorary PhDs from the University of Michigan and York College.
