Professional Bio:

Sean is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience investing in and partnering with private markets firms. He previously served as a Senior Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors of Blue Owl Capital, where he was a founding member of the firm’s GP Strategic Capital Investment Team. Sean also served as an Investment Committee member for Blue Owl Homecourt Partners, a fund focused on acquiring minority interests in NBA teams, and Blue Owl Strategic Equity, the firm’s GP-led secondary fund.

Prior to Blue Owl, Sean was a Managing Director and founding partner of Dyal Capital Partners, the predecessor to Blue Owl’s GP Strategic Capital platform. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles within Neuberger Berman’s alternatives business and practiced law at Covington & Burling and Davis Polk & Wardwell, advising on M&A, capital markets, and investment management transactions. He also served as a Vice President at Lehman Brothers.

Education:

Sean earned his B.A., magna cum laude, in Diplomatic History and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Duke University School of Law.
